Labeling & Manual Requirements

Hardware certification requires specific physical marks and legal statements to be present on the product, its packaging, and within the user manual. This section details the requirements for the EverTag system.

Product Labeling

The following marks and identifiers must be permanently affixed to the product (e.g., via silkscreen, laser engraving, or a durable adhesive label).

Connectivity Module (Radio)

If the Connectivity Module uses pre-certified RF modules, the final product label must clearly indicate their presence. Below are the specific FCC and IC IDs for the modules used in the EverTag system:

  • PAN B611-1 (nRF54L15):
    • FCC ID: T7V-B611
    • IC: 216Q-B611
  • ESP32-C5-WROOM-1:
    • FCC ID: 2AC7Z-ESPC5WROOM1
    • IC: 21098-ESPC5WROOM1
  • Acconeer A121 (Radar):
    • FCC ID: 2AQ6KA121 (Note: Confirm exact ID from Acconeer's grant)
  • SIM7672 Series (LTE):
    • FCC ID: [Dependent on specific NA variant, e.g., SIM7672NA]

Complete Label Layout Example (Phase 1 Base + WiFi):

Model: EverTag Connectivity Module 232202
Contains FCC ID: T7V-B611, 2AC7Z-ESPC5WROOM1
Contains IC: 216Q-B611, 21098-ESPC5WROOM1
[CE Mark Logo] [WEEE Wheelie Bin Logo]
CargoBeacon AB, [Manufacturer Address]
  • CE Mark: The CE logo must be at least 5mm high and visibly affixed.
  • WEEE Symbol: The "crossed-out wheelie bin" symbol indicating the product must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste.
  • Model Name/Number: The specific model designation of the Connectivity Module.
  • Manufacturer Information: Name and address of the manufacturer (CargoBeacon).

Power Base Module (High Voltage)

The high-voltage base requires additional safety and rating information. The product owner for the ETL certification is CargoBeacon AB. The manufactured product variants are solely the property of CargoBeacon and may not be used in marketing material or sold as a stand-alone product to other customers. The device is a custom NEMA 5-15 outlet product with an integrated USB power supply for use in private homes in the United States.

  • NRTL Mark: The certification mark from the Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory. For the EverTag Power Base Module, we are targeting UL 498 (NEMA 5-15 receptacle) and UL 1310 (USB Class 2 power unit) compliance via ETL (Intertek). The ETL Listed Mark must be displayed. Certification markings will be placed on the side of the male receptacle.
  • Input Ratings: 85–264 VAC pass-through input and output. The pass-through function must handle a 15A load.
  • Output Ratings: Isolated 5V / 2A USB Type-C output for powering the telematics module.
  • Model Name/Number: The specific model designation of the Power Base Module (single and duplex variants).
  • Manufacturer Information: Name and address of the manufacturer (CargoBeacon AB).

Regulatory bodies mandate that specific legal text be included in the user manual provided with the product.
