Certification & Regulatory

This section tracks certification requirements, test plans, and compliance status for the EverTag product platform.

Two certification tracks

The EverTag Station is certified as two independent products, each tracked in its own section:

Track Product Domain Key standards Section
Radio / EMC Connectivity Module (PCB 232200–232211) Low-voltage / radio FCC Part 15, CE RED, RoHS, REACH, WEEE Connectivity Module →
High-voltage safety Power Base Module (duplex NEMA 5-15 charger) Mains safety + efficiency UL 498, UL 1310 (or UL 62368-1), DoE Level VI Power Base Module →

The two tracks are decoupled. Because the USB rail from the Power Base Module is Class 2-limited (per UL 1310), the Connectivity Module stays outside the high-voltage safety domain — it can be tested and certified independently using an off-the-shelf Class 2 USB supply, so Power Base certification is not a prerequisite for the Connectivity Module.

Where to look

Connectivity Module — Certification

The radio product and the CargoBeacon-run certification campaign: FCC / ISED and CE / UKCA requirements, the modular-integration rules that keep the pre-certified RF module grants valid, labeling & manual statements, the two-phase strategy, the lab test plan, and global market access (leveraging CB Scheme + CE/FCC into other regions).

Power Base Module — Charger

The supplier-built mains charger, certified independently per region: US 232507 pass-through (ETL — UL 498 + UL 1310, DoE Level VI) and the EU / Worldwide interchangeable-plug variant (RFQ stage). Ratings, enclosure/material, labeling, and supplier alignment are embedded per product. CargoBeacon AB is the Listee / product owner.

Human Disciplines Mapped Here

This Certification tab covers the following traditional engineering disciplines (see PPAP Section 2e for the full list):

KB Discipline Name Traditional Name Scope
Functional Safety Safety Management Safety analysis (FMEA), safety manual, SIL/PLr assessment
Environmental & EMC Test Environmental test EMC test plans, climate testing, vibration, pre-compliance

The regulatory KB role grants access to this section. Compliance engineers, test lab coordinators, and safety engineers should be assigned this role.
